Hello Mother Maj-Liss, happy to hear you are reading the blog. Have you emptied the garage or have you carried it all back inside?. Last time I saw you in the kitchen when I came back to collect my jumper that looked like what you were doing! There was no chance though that you carried back your pig, it was well and truly smoked. However, if you are missing him I have a growing mountain of pigs here. One even turned up at home on new year’s eve on the steps, it gave me a real fright.
One of the questions we get asked a lot is how to become an interior designer. There are no real simple ways in. Obviously if you have an education in the field that helps. there are some great schools in London and you can find their address in the back of the major english design magazines.
However, remember, it is not an easy profession and there is very much competition. The more you know about lighting, plumbing, building, site management etc will make you a better designer. believe me, I spend 20% of my time designing and 80% talking to plumbers and electritians who do not want to do what I am asking them, dosa everywhere is a good example as are pipes on the outside of walls.
Another suggestion is to travel, get inspriation, see how the rest of the world designs, read books, buy foreign design magazines…all if this will make you a more interesting and creative designer in the long run.

Hej igen! Jag kan tala om att vi fyllde containern som ni lämnade, och ytterligare en halv container under hösten och mer ska ut! Det var verkligen en kick och en fantastisk känsla att verkligen rensa!Vi är förresten JÄTTENÖJDA med köket och grannarna undrar varför DOM inte kommit på att ställa garderoberna så som ni gjorde. Vad roligt att ni startat en blogg! Jag har följt er serie sedan starten och det verkar ha satt sina spår. Förra året renoverade jag ett litet sovrum hemma och tänkte göra det enkelt (och ofantligt tråkigt) genom att välja vita väggar och använda färgglada textiler. Men efter ett av era program valde jag istället väggar i mörk lavendel med vita textiler och ekgolv. Jag är jättenöjd! (Hantverkaren var dock ingen större hit, surprise surprise…)
Hoppas att er serie får fortsätta länge. Era stilrena inredningar har genomgående hög kvalitet och lång livslängd, till skillnad från vissa andra TV-inredares alster.
