T and I are being utterly useless at blogging right now. The sun is hot, the sea blue and the beer cold and it is therefore very difficult to turn on the computer.
Had a meeting yesterday with a builder here on the island and today we will meet the architect. The original house we had designed went into the garbage bin as soon as we arrived as we realised it was too big and to european so it is back to the drawing board.
Saturday night was fun as we had 10 people to dinner in the cottage we have rented. It is all very social here.
A swedish guy has built a large house here on the island and we were invited to the moving in party which was great fun. Bumped into him on the beach yesterday and he has asked T and I to come to the house tonight as he has problems with lighting. It seems work has found us all the way in the Carribean.
Will try and get my act together tonight and down load some photos.

Äntligen framme och jetlagen börjar släppa lite, den här öns fördelar är också det som är nackdelar. Flyg till London heathrow, buss till London Gatwick, övernatta på flygplatshotell, 9 timmar flyg till barbados och sedan vidare med miniplan i 45 minuter. Som sagt detta gör ju att ön inte är full av turister och även nu i högsäsong så är det förutom på helgerna i princip aldrig mer än 10 personer på beachen.
Igår var vi och hälsade på vår kompis Wendy som har öns absolut bästa utsikt och läge på sitt hus – som vanligt hade hon bjudit in lite folk som hon tycker vi måste träffa – hon är en riktig liten networker. Vi träffade Patrik som är före detta fotbollsspelare och hans fru Jenny som bott på ön några månader. Sedan åkte vi på cocktails till öns nyaste hus högst upp på berget, det visade sig vara en svensk som ägde det och det var inte helt färdigt men kommer att bli en dröm med panoramautsikt över hamnen och havet, men framförallt positionerad med infinitypool och allt så att man kan njuta av den västindiska solnedgången – ett måste i de här trakterna.
Vi åt såklart middag på Devils Table som har öns bästa mat tycker vi, Margit (ja också svenska) har verkligen lyckats att få superklass på maten vilket är svårt när allt i princip måste tas in utifrån. Vi träffade en del andra vi kände där också bl a en arkitektkompis, Thomas som tjatar på oss att köpa en tomt och bygga ett hus på ön, han hade en av sina kunder med sig en dam som kallades Jenky som visade sig vara en av de mest inflytelserika kvinnorna i denna del av Västindien och idag ska vi få en visning av hennes fantastiska traditionella hus på denna ö och om vi hinner ska vi åka till st: Vincent och kolla in hennes ”palats” där…….. det verkar inte saknas pengar här inte. Det är skönt att ibland fly från allt bankkrissnack som annars är det enda vi matas med hemma.
Just nu sitter jag på terassen på vårt hyrda lilla hus och tittar ut över havet och hamnen, det har fyllt på med segelbåtar under natten och folk börjar göra sig redo för ”easter regatta” som är ett stort segelbåtsevent som hålls här en gång om året. Jag ska nu bara hitta någonstans att koppla upp mig på nätet så att jag kan lägga ut detta på bloggen.

have been travelling since last night and have only reached gatwick. sitting in the lounge having a bloody mary which is rather relaxing.
I am a firm believer that once you get to an airport you can have a drink at any time of day as you are international time. Must remember to go easy on the sauce though so T does not have to carry me on.
Flight called so must run, 8 hours of peace and quiet will be nice……….although the carpets on a Boeing 777 do leave something to be desired from a taste and style point of view!

T & I are off tonight for the island of bequia (pronounced bekwee) so sadly the friday look at other peoples interior disasters needs to be put on hold for a week.
However here is a quick view of where we are going, can not wait.
We will meet Mick and Carey who we visited in England for show 4 this season, we had not seen each other for so long we decided we must get together. This will be a week of cold beer and book reading and very little else.
The boys are off to stay with friends who have been fighting to look after them.
Am off to finish packing and then on to the airport.

Today we are off to Rättvik to do a föreläsning for Nordsjö, the paint manufacturers. The ideas is to try and get their representatives to sell more colour. Sweden is the largest consumer of white paint I am sure……..in the world.
It will be fun to re-visit the place as last year we designed a night club there.
2 very charming ladies spent hours and hours hanging the crystals from strings for the bar front. They looked pretty tired of life by the time they finished.
We built an entrace tunnel in copper that led you into the nightclub, they guy that built is was a real craftsman.
Everyone having a fun evening.
The lamps over the bar had a large crystal with an enormout toffs at the end, really in the london W8 style.
here are the designers looking quite brown and a little flushed from perhaps one or two glasses of wine.
Will get back later in the day and let you know if we managed to change anyones mind about colour………you know how difficult those northeners can be.
