Paris

My goodness Paris was wonderful, the architecture, the life, the energy and the grandness of the city……….one obviously can not over look the rudeness. Amazing to check into a five star hotel and ask the concerige if he can organise a table to be told “Maybe…………..”

However everyone knows the city is like that so the only thing is to reply in a similar manner.

The hotel was situated 100 meters from the Opera, what an extraordinay building, this is what the outside looks like, think what the inside has to offer. There is not much björk and minimalism here. Who said gold and gloriousness is not utterly wonderful.

I love this picture. We were in the antique market of Clignancourt with clients and saw this jack russel pinking on the stool. Made me feel much better when Pooter has a crap in the shoe department at NK.

Here is T being given the thumbs up by a plastic sign, stylish or what. What is the bib you are wearing T, must be drinking beer.

Here we are having breakfast at Hotel Costes in the courtyard, croissants, earl gray, fresh juice, one of the most extravagant hotels in europe. Looks like this poor guy is being attacked by an ormbunk.

Place Vendome where the Ritz is. It was at this hotel where Princess Di left from before she was in the car crash.

I love this photo, the photographer being photographed. Paris was 30 degrees and only the day before T & I had been standing outside in 8 degrees and the pouring rain for 4 hours filming.

Again, Place Vendome and here is the guy who waters all the plants, kind of a fun contrast. The taxi drivers in this city could certainly take a few lesson from a well known stockholm company. You get into a taxi there and no one would think about moving their chair forward as T & I are tall…..god forbid they should get out and open the door! Well done sweden!!!!

Had drinks at the Four Seasons Hotel late saturday night, this is one of the most amazing hotels I know. In the lobby they have the most spectacular flower arrangements known to mankind. Talk about unlimited budget. The only time I have seen anything more extravagant was when we were with Hosni Mubarak at the opening of the Four Seasons in Cairo.

The courtyard bar at the Four Seasons, not a bad place for a well earned Martini………..3 olives….shaken……..

Got back to sweden and it was 8 degrees, still it was nice to be home.

Off to Göteborg at 0800 tomorrow to see families for Swedens Ugliest Home.

Will report back.

Looks like you had a wonderful time. Gold is fabulous in a place like the Opera. The surreal operatic scene needs huge architectual gestures externally and interior design drama inside to suit the music. However in the case of the poor Polish guy there is such a thing as too much of a good thing can actually be too much. I’ll never be a fan of minimalism, but I’d rather have an all white home with no furniture than that Polish monstrosity.
Anyway, thanks for the pictures. Now I want to go to Paris too. Look what you did!
