Another Q&A session

Arvegods and old things don’t always have to be ugly. I personally love old things and antiques. But there is a difference between a beautiful desk you inherit from a loved one and an old and ugly potholder. And I agree with you - you should not buy everything new, it is boring. Collect fabulous things you love, over time, and your home will be a true reflection of you and your taste. Auctions are the best places to find interesting furniture and details AND are the most environmentally friendly.

Many people have wondered where Dick is. He had other commitments.

Percy & Pooter are usually looked after by Tomas’ mother when we are on holiday. She complains like crazy about how much work they are and then I have to arm wrestle her when I am home as she does not want to give them back. Otherwise many of our friends offer to take them in while we are away - they are extremely popular.

If you don’t want a room to feel too long the simplest trick is paint vertical stripes. My tip is to choose three or four complimentary colours, and paint your stripes in different widths.  Either that or paint the walls at the end of the long walls the same colour to “pull the room in” Whilst this gives you 2 fondväggs….that is better than one!!

Thanks for all the tips for Buenos Aires. Very thoughtful.

Thanks for your comments - well said and a good explanation of where the Scandinavian fascination for white comes from. I do think we are finally seeing a shift in trends and people are becoming a little more daring in their choice of colours. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking.

A simple and cheap inredningstips is to paint. It is truly amazing what a coat of paint can do to a room. Colour is so important. And please remember - white is not a colour and cappuccino is without a doubt the dullest colour on earth.

I think your program on tv 3 is just smashing! The house with all the trolls in it was just horrible! I suppose our home is somewhat horribles aswell as we still have quite a bit of furumöbler. I really hate it, but sometimes the answer cant be to buy all new stuff. Suggestions please. Maybe paint the whole lot?
Ps. Your dogs are sooo adorable Ds.
