Britannia Hotel

Josie, you were quite right, the Britannia Hotel has quite easily got to be one of the ugliest hotels in europe.

It is so hideous that there were only 2 photos on their homepage. For fans for Fugly, I strongly reccomend a vidit to their home page.

J, I am glad you are out of their, all too grim and depressing.

Dec 26 th

All back to normal now although the boys and i are still eating kötbulle, prinskorv and ham………and will be doing so for the next 3 months I think.

Here is a picture of the straw bear which is still sitting out in the snow.

Today will be spent thinking about the gym, perhaps I do not want to hurry into making a decision I may regret………..maybe I should leave a final decision until 2010.

S & the boys

A rather alarming morning

So the Anka christmas is almost over and as I suspected opinion is divided into those that like her and those who do not.

The evening was a bit of a nightmare as there were 5 cameras plus lights, a fire and 20 people in the room. The air conditioning was set to 10 degrees but nothing helped.

A lovely snowy christmas day but as I was taking the dogs for their morning walk and was coming down the stairs from the house………..horror………..a straw bear had been left as a christmas gift. Same as last year when a straw pig was left. I nearly died. Out there on Lidingö is someone who knows where I live and my ultimate chriatmas nightmare……..straw pigs, bears, frogs, rabbits, deer…….infact anything with straw.

A glass of champagne helped steady the nerves!

Off to christmas lunch now, sill, sill and more sill.

Happy christmas to everyone and thank you all for watching the show this year and your kind comments of support. We are really looking forward to filming the new show next year and hope you will enjoy that too.

Simon Tomas Percy and Pooter.

The duck experience

Glad now that the duck experience is over, done and dusted. Always odd how they cut a show as you never know what will come out in the end.

For this show the things they cut were T & I say “no”, “that is very ugly”, “really, you are not serious”, “that is quite dreadful” and on and on and on. The woman really does have the most curious taste.

Sadly we never got to see the duck tree but I would have been fascinated, the entire team had however been thrown out of the house. Oddly, as we went there to decorate trees I was surprised by the 2 seconds they showed of them.

The boys have caught kennel cough so wake me up every 30 minutes with some very noisy coughing, however they still eat like it is their last supper. They sound like a couple of old men who have smoked too much.

Last day before christmas and already the family is complaining that we are serving egg nog not glög, I am ready to shoot myself.

A Postal pig!

The postman has now been and I received a nice box with what I assumed contained a christmas gift.

It did!

Hmmmmm………..a straw pig……….another one for the collection!

Somone out there must recognise the hand writing or the smily face.

As it is christmas I think this pig is destined to be cellotaped to a rocket and launched over Lidingö along with all the other fireworks.

So if anyone sees a straw pig expolde in a massive red fireball you know you have seen the first pig in space.

Thanks for the gift, it was a great thought……………next year send socks.

The boys

Pooter is such a dude that he really can sleep anywhere as this photo shows. He is now asleep on a dining chair by a dining table. Percy has wrapped himself in a silk curtain and is also fast asleep. All really rather cute.

Still have not done any christmas shopping, T is unbelieveably difficult to shop for so I think I will start with the boys, anything squeaky seems to go down well.

Tonight is our show with Anna Anka, will be very interested to see how the cut the material as they can make the show go any way they like.

Once I have seen it I can comment more fully on what was a rather bizarre week in LA.

S

radio and snow shoveling

Bit of a weekend, with all the snow T had to do a massive amount of snow shoveling, half the terrace is cleared and the pile of snow is 2 meters hight.

I was working in the olive oil shop so managed to miss all that excitement.

This morning was an hour and a half on P4 radio which was great fun, we love to do radio interviews, I guess that is because we love the sound of our own voices. The boys were also in the studio and behave perfectly, I had to do a check before we  left to make sure they had not crapped any where.

I can feel already this will be an odd week, nobody in the office really knows what to do as christmas is so close.

S

A useful christmas gift.

T & I think we will do something a little different for christmas gifts. Go into the site below if you are short of ideas.

I have not done ugly friday for a while as it has been so busy but I have found some spectacularly ugly homes.

Again go into the link above and have a look, if you are at all bakis I might save it for another day.

Have a great weekend.

Party boys

Went to a great party last night, a friend of ours from New York is in town on his way up to the Ice Hotel where he is designing a room.

Lots of fun people, delicious food and journalists from America. The whole thing was really very glamorous. Naturally the boys had a good time as well although they did seem a little overly interested in the wine.

Not feeling 100% today so I have decided to take it very easy.
