BEQUIA

Nu har jag äntligen varvat ner lite och då är det nästan dags att åka hem. Det blir alltid lite kort att åka så längt som till Karibien på bara en vecka men alternativet hade varit att inte åka alls. 

Det är inte utan att det varit lite nervöst, tomten vi köpt är nu röjd och vi kan på allvar se hur det kan komma att bli. Panoramautsikt åt både grenadinernas skärgård och mot solnedgången i karibiska havet.Tomten är inte alls så brant som vi befarade vilket gör det enklare att bygga när vi väl sätter igång.

Vi har träffat massor med kompisar här som bor på ön mer eller mindre halva året, desstuom har det varit en del svenskar här vilket är kul samtidigt som vi såklart inte vill att ön ska överösas med svenskar då Bequia är menat att vara vår lilla “hideaway”. Tydligen har Jude Law varit här i 10 dagar och hela ön är hur stolt som helst. I morgon ska vi på öns årliga galaparty, vår kompis Wendy ska ha en middagsbjudning för 110 personer och temat är “glitter and sparkle” och alla viktiga personer på ön kommer att vara där, även en del celebert besök från huvudön St:Vincent. 

Har hört att vädret i stockholm varit lite slaskit som är som det bör denna årstid, här är det runt 27 grader både i luften och vattnet så vi har det jätteskönt coh avundas er inte alls därhemma. Igår var vi på segeltur till Mustique och spanade in några riktiga jättehus bl a Tommy Hillfiger, Mick Jagger och Bryan Adams, personligen tyckeer jag att vårt lilla pittoreska Bequia har 10 tusen gånger mer charm - inte lika flashigt men totalt genuint.

Vi börjar spela in nya avsnit av sveriges fukaste hem om ett par veckor så då blir det full fart igen och jag måste ge er lite förhandstips på att vi denna gång hittat hem som är värre än förra säsongen vilket vi egentligen inte trodde var möjlig men det var det. Det ska bli hur kul som helst så glöm inte att hålla utkik efter premiären.

On a bit of a count down now to our holiday on saturday. Although I love this freezing weather it will be wonderful to have a little sun.

It is always hysterical before you go trying to get everything finfished however the guys in the shop are great so I know we are in good hands.

Will have a night in NY seeing friends then down to Bequia. Will be meeting some friends who will sail over from Union island which will be great fun.

There is a jazz festival whilst we are there which should also be interesting.

We are now busy deisgning the shows for the next season which will start filming in a month, always very stressful before we actually get going.

It is always wonderful to get feedback. Especially when it’s positive. Thank you. I’m glad you enjoy the show. Be sure to keep an out for the new season , which we begin filming in a few weeks time.

As far as I know there are no plans for “Design: Simon & Tomas” to be released on DVD. In the meantime you can watch four seasons of the show, at your leisure at TV3 Play. (www.tv3.se/play) We are however thinking of turning the boys into curtains and tea towels.

I am sorry you are disappointed that we participated in Anna’s Christmas program. As I said in my mail to you personally we have absolutely no editorial control over the final cut but rest assured in real life AA did not get away with much!

How wonderful to hear that you have not disliked anything we have done on our shows. You may be the only one! I must confess though that we do not alway love the colours we choose but it is often better than what is there when we arrive.

You are right - colour does make life fun. I am not sure if the car in the opening credits is for sale. The right people to ask would be at the production company that produces the show. More on them at www.strix.tv

Of course you can be fräck and ask where we got our sofa. You may not be so happy with the answer though. Ours is an antique.

Well christmas and new year are over and it is back to normal thank goodness.

Very calm at the house as I do not really like the holidays. I always think everyone is faintly dissapointed with their gifts and never get invited to THE new years eve party. that combined with everyone going mad drinking makes me yearn for january.

I hope this will be a good year, some interesting jobs being lined up, beginning shooting the new series and then off on holiday on the 16th.

It is great walking around town at the moment as you see so many people looking horribly embarassed with christmas gifts in the form of clothing that they got from parents and mormor.

Poor bugger!
