It has been a jolly weekend and last night at a great party at the Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. Interesting people, great food and decided to stay there the night so as not to have a taxi.
I have never really thought of staying in a hotel in the city I live in but I think I will do it more often. There really something very civilised about the whole idea, room service, you do not have to clean up after your self and all you need to do is pack your tooth brush.
I am tempted to go and stay at the Grand next weekend, how nice to spend all morning in the spa.
I was looking for something on the internet yesterday and came across this piece of furniture……..all too bizarre.
Off to Ljusterö filming tomorrow, 3 filmed, 7 to go.

Thanks for all the comments about Macs. Inge, you are quite right about the manuel………however in my experience reading the damned thing is just not what men do. They throw it away, open a beer and then try to work it out……..about as sucessful as learning chess without playing against someone that knows.
problem I find is that if you ring support they seem to be talking a language from another planet.
I think I am caught in a generation that was a bit in between, my father who is 75 has absolutely no difficulty with any of this, all too shame making.

yesterday was spent in Norrköping doing a photo shoot with Aneby Hus who we will start working with helping their clients with the interior design.
Needless to say it was the worst day of the year for travel as you can hardly see the E4, snow everywhere and those on the road speeding. Finally got there after 3 hours and I have never seen so much snow, the city was empty of people and cars, there was nowhere to park because of snow clearing and the whole feel of the place was that we had landed in the arctic.
Tomas was described a being photogenic yesterday and he did not stop telling me the whole way home that he agreed. What a pucko.
have just come back from Gärdet with the boys but had to turn around as the snow was so deep, all I saw was a small tail sticking up and nothing else.
My father sent me a picture this week that was very flattering, aged 2 when we lived in Malta.
Who says I am not photogenic.

Received a letter in the post yesterday adressed as follows.
I was so amazed it go to the house it is hats off to the swedish postal system. Sadly in england I rather think this would have been thrown in the garbage. It always give a really good impression when people actually go the extra mile to make things work.
Was in our olive oil shop on Grev Turegatan yesterday ( A’l'olivier) and in the space of 5 minutes 2 people came in and asked for one of our Ecological oils called Argan. “Oh, that is a great oil for salads” I said to which the reply was, “No, its too good for that, we use it on our face as moisturiser!”
Dare I say it is a funny old world, so if I am looking a bit slippery on TV you know why.

I thought Mac was supposed to be for creative people who had no idea how to use them but they coordinated with the desk lamp and allowed you to look cool.
I was obviously wrong……….you need to read the instruction manuel as well.

I can not help but think you need to be rocket scientist to solve any computer problems……..sadly I am totally unqualified…………I am only an interior designer.

Huge problems with the avlops at home.
Turn on the dishwasher and the washing machine bubbles, turn on just the washing machine and it floods the tvättrum. Make the mistake of turning on both at the same time and it is like Noah’s flood.
However, with Simon’s patented plunger (coke bottle cut in half, soap and plunger) all now seems to be fixed. This is the sort of stuff you do not see on TV, all you get in me fluffing cushions. Life seems so unfair sometimes.
Off filming again now, I wonder what humiliation awaits me there at the hands of T.
Well, the mässan is now over and I can not say I was amazed this year with any new break throughts in the design world, I think you can in fact go every other year if you want to see changes.
However the monter were bigger and more colourful so I guess there is hope.
Tomorrow filming again and in the breaks between being rude to the family and their taste I will call computer support and see if I can get pictures onto the blog again. So much for plug and play………I am glad they do not make machines that way.

I must say I am very surprised at how many people seemed to have seen us about in Svartå and Degerfors.
Everyone we have met has been extremely friendly and Robert I am sorry I missed you in the supermarket, I sometimes worry that people think I am being unfriendly if I do not say hello. Both T and I love to meet people who watch the show but as any person that wears glasses knows they are usually so dirty you are mostly blind.
Also, thanks for the message Glen. I was a little startled when you pulled up by the side of the road. I was thinking about if P & P had had a crap so was a little startled.
Off to bed now, it has been a long day and tomorrow will be longer as the family will come home to see what we have done, then we drive back to stockholm, I have to go to a visning at Auktionskompaniet and then off to dinner with friends.
Friday is production meeting at 0900, Möbelmässan at 1130 on the Osram monter and then filming at 1530. When am I going to get tp Bolaget.

Ja nu är vi i Degerfors och spelar in vårt första program för vårsäsongen, jag kan såklart inte avslöja något om själva programmet, men jag kan garantera att det kommer att bli underhållande. Vi har valt ut en del riktiga skräckexempel på fula hem och det är så kul att få vara utanför stockholmsregionen och se hur resten av Sverige har det.
Vi bor på något som heter Bruksmässen vid järnbruket och det är riktigt fint och vi blir väl omhändertagna. Ikväll ska vi alla äta middag här vilket ska bli riktigt trevligt.
Tyvärr som så många svenska småstäder så verkar pizza vara det enda restaurangutbud som finns - lite konstigt tycker jag folk måste väl vilja äta annat än pizza ibland. Det finns visst en kina restaurang och en pub men de var stängda på måndagen. Om jag inte vore en sådan inbiten storsdadsmänniska skulle jag åka runt i landet och öppna restauranger - javisst man kan servera pizza också men något annat vällagat kan man väl erbjuda också. Inredningen och belysningen på dessa pizzerior kanske borde uppdateras lite också………………………
Fast nu är vi ju inte här för att göra restauranger även om det kliar lite i fingrarna.
Just nu är jag på hotellrummet medan Jonny och grabbarna målar klart första rundan, ni vet “torktider” - och jag ligger i sängen och bloggar och funderar på om det faktiskt inte får vara färdigt med vinter nu. Jag är en sån där människa som alltid har fel kläder, jag borde bo någonstans där man kan glida omkring i shorts och flip flops hela dagarna, jag äger inte ens ett par långkallingar. Två veckors vinter per år räcker för mig. Fast Percy och Pooter älskar snön det verkar som om det kommer fram extra mycket gosiga dofter när snön ligger på marken, de vill inte vara inomhus alls.
Som sagt ny inspelningssäsong - 10 veckor - jag måste erkänna att jag saknat det lite vi är ett bra gäng nu och alla jobbar mot samma mål att ha kul och göra bra tv.
Fast det är alltid lite pirrigt i början, vi vill ju att det ska bli bra och många av de fula hem vi hittat, tycker inte de som bor där är fula alls och vi kan ju inte alltid bara dundra in och vända helt upp och ner på deras smak (fast det gör vi ändå). Nu kom Simon just tillbaks från snabbköpet och vi ska försöka jobba på ett utkast till en bokidé vi har - varför inte ta oss an ett projekt till…………………
Frank - jackan jag har på mig köpte jag i London i en affär på Kings Road för sådär 7 år sedan, jag komer tyvärr inte ihåg vad den hette. Men med lite tur kommer det att finnas liknande jackor till våren hos flera butiker, jag tror den typ av mode är på väg tillbaks igen.
